LARGE WILD CATS

My first maine coon cat picked me up 11 years ago. We stayed at the state campground for 3 weeks, it was the fall getting cold and the campground would close for the year the day we left. Chucky was a maine coon cat that had been dumped there and spent the summer mooching off the campers. He decided to lasso me and come home with me. As we were packing up all our stuff the night before we left, I told my husband that I wasn't leaving without that cat. My husband, a long suffering animal lovers spouse, just grinned and said, I know. And so Chucky came home with us. And he's still here. somewhere, probably laying on my bed. And he started me wanting more. More of these huge purr machines. Who think nothing of slapping around one of my dogs. And let there be no mistake they are the cats in charge.

Lots of Maine coons now

I have added lots of maine coons now, like all my cats they live inside and are not caged. It would be wrong to cage that wild strike. They have access to a large 15 x 30 foot fully enclosed outside room. Or they can lay around and do nothing but think in alpha on the bed. But most of all they have to be ready with a purr.

Chuck out hunting for the day

Chuck has been known to roam around and took care of the snakes and frogs and things that go bump in the night. But times have changed and now Chuck has learned to stay in, so don't get your panties in a wad. He's settled into being an inside cat and given up his evil ways.

Take your time and check them out

We will have maine coon and ragdoll kittens for Christmas, 2010. Email me at metadrjay@aol.com to be put on waiting list.

My cattery is in a mobile home that my husband and I lived in while our new home was ready to move into; our plan was to have that mobile home moved out of her but I have managed to fill it with cats. It works out well for us, the cats are free with a outside yard completely enclosed and a screened porch. The males all live together in their own large main bedroom and have their own outside room. Males all live together and when the urge hits them they do their marking outside. I keep a litter box outside too for them and its covered with an igloo dogbox. It makes for some happy healthy boys who use a cedar tree to climb and scratching post. No cages no diapers and plenty of fresh mountain grown catnip for everyone.
